Naomi Brockwell is a producer, tech journalist, public speaker, and an Australian… mate. Brockwell is dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of digital surveillance. The fact that she appears on mainstream news outlets is somewhat concerning, as these outlets do not practice true journalism. In reality, they are performers trained to portray what many people perceive as authoritative journalism.
Anyway, enough of my ranting.
Brockwell asserts that the modern, digitally enabled car is essentially a smart device, not too dissimilar to a smartphone. Just like a smartphone surveils your interactions and usage, a modern car collects data, even if you are unaware of it.
Remember that consent form you accepted without bothering to read? You just gave away your right to be data mined.
