Germany is Europe and the EU is Germany because Germany is the most economically powerful country within the union. In effect, Germany is the EU’s bank and commercial loan provider. However, this pivotal role is fraught with risks: if Germany falters, the entire EU is at risk of collapsing. Once an unthinkable scenario, it is now becoming a reality, and the blame largely rests on Germany’s shoulders.
This is not an anti-EU sentiment but rather a criticism of the decisions leading to Germany’s deindustrialization—a process driven by elite politicians seemingly leading their population astray. The consequences are increasingly apparent, with Germany’s economy faltering due to specific geopolitical factors tied to the ongoing war in Ukraine. Yet, the roots of this decline go back much further, with seeds planted over a decade ago.
Delving deeper into the specifics will risk Google shadow-banning and censorship, but platforms like the YouTube channel Redacted have taken up the challenge to explore these critical issues. but that position is problematic because if Germany fails the EU fails as a whole.
