Police are currently investigating what appears to be a terrorist attack outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Contrary to our banner headlines, Donald Trump was not in Las Vegas at the time of the incident. The Las Vegas Police Department has also confirmed that the driver of the Tesla Cybertruck involved in the explosion was killed.
Elon Musk addressed the incident on X, stating that the explosion “was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself.”
Investigators are working to determine how and why the Cybertruck ended up outside the Trump Hotel and whether it was intentionally targeted. One theory being examined is whether this was a potential assassination attempt.
Donald Trump has faced previous threats, including narrowly avoiding being shot in the head during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024, and another incident in September 2024 at his West Palm Beach Golf Club, where a suspect was apprehended by the Secret Service.
Could the exploding Cybertruck incident be yet another attempt on Trump’s life? Only the conclusion of the ongoing police investigation will provide clarity.
