Delaware rejects Musk’s US$101bn Tesla pay package—again


Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk has lost his latest bid to claim his 2018 pay package. On 2 December 2024, Delaware Chancery Court Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick upheld her ruling from January that the compensation plan was improperly awarded. At the time, McCormick argued that Musk and the Tesla Board “bore the burden of proving that the compensation plan was fair, and they failed to meet that burden.”
