£29,000 for a Skoda Karoq? What’s going on? Living in the UK is getting more expensive, yet quality of life isn’t improving, and wages haven’t kept pace with inflation since the 1970s. To highlight this inequality, even one of the most affordable car brands is now more expensive than ever.
The updated Skoda Karoq, featuring enhanced equipment and minor styling tweaks, starts at £29,000. That’s £29,000 for a vehicle that’s anything but thrilling. Prices climb to an eye-watering £42,000 for the top-spec “Whatever” Edition.
At the very least, all trims now include heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a reversing camera as standard. Never a dull moment for Skoda. The Skoda Karoq—still dull, just more expensive.
